A horse doesn't wake up thinking it's going to be a better day. All they have are their past days to go by, and it's up to us to make sure those days have been good.
Training
At the "Old West" training facility, we use a gentle, but assertive method of horse training. You can rest assured that your horse will not be handled roughly or mistreated in any way. We feel that bonding with a horse and gaining respect and trust is a much better basis for reaching training goals than harsh treatment. Jerry has been successfully training horses for 35 years. We will forward a copy of our contract upon request.
We'd be happy to furnish you with references and testimonials from our clients. Truthfully, we would happily give our clients some references because we have been blessed with the best clients and students any trainer could hope for. We appreciate so much the trust they've placed in us, and strive to be worthy of it.

Jigger is a 4 year old AQHA gelding owned by T&N Farms of Upton,Kentucky.
Winston (Winnie) is a handsome 3 year old Arab/Paint gelding.
He belongs to Kathy Pinnell of Hardyville, Kentucky.
It won't be long before he'll be in the show ring.

Buddy is a 5 year old Walking Horse who belongs to Bill Brooks of Horse Cave, KY.

Note 6/15/08...Buddy just won 4th in country Pleasure in a field of 20 in his first show.

Warrior was owned by Ray and Crystal Lyons of Mason, Texas. Sadly, Warrior passed away, breaking many hearts.
