Jake is one of the most special horses we've ever known. We believe that the years we've had with this grand and phenomenal boy has been a blessing from our Lord.

 We are very appreciative of all the mare owners who have seen in him the many wonderful qualities that we are so proud of. Jake has passed on his gentle nature and intelligence to his foals. We made the decision in early 2009 to geld Jake. Many things brought us to that decision. Jake was a gentle, sweet tempered stallion, but still, there are limits to the freedom that a stallion can have on a farm with other horses. Although Jake's offspring seemed to always have much potential, and were blessed with his disposition, it seemed almost unethical to keep bringing more foals into the world when so many horses were being  given away or abandoned .

Our time for training and riding our own horses has been limited in the past couple of years and sadly, Jake's time under saddle was little...much to  our dismay, and also Jake's. So the decision was made, after much thought and many prayers, to sell Jake to our friend Lisa Offutt, who needed a good trail horse and already loved Jake. Jake will be moving to Russellville soon to share his heart and his time with Lisa. Our decision brings us both joy and sadness. We know that Jake will be loved and have the best of care, but it will be difficult to walk to the barn each morning and not see that handsome boy standing there waiting for us.
